Lily room

Children enter this area usually as they reach their third birthday until they reach their pre-school year. This area is a little more structured and begins the preparation for school, using the Foundation stage curriculum.

Once again all of the toys and equipment are provided with this age group in mind. We have a home corner and sand and water play always available, with a different craft and physical activity every day. The children spend a part of each day outside in the garden.

Many of the children in this area are attending for their Nursery Grant sessions, these sessions are term time only and whilst some parents choose to pay for extra sessions others are only with us during the school year. We have a maximum of 24 children in this area at any one time, with 4 permanent members of staff. Every child has a key-worker to care for them and to liaise with parents; however every member of the team is familiar with the needs of every child. Lily room is an often noisy and always happy room where the children play and learn together whilst having fun!
